What does transcribing mean?
Transcribing is typing out audio to text. As a transcriber, you listen to the audio and try to type it out as accurately as possible.

What do I earn?
We pay per transcribed audio minute. Depending on the length of the file and the speed of your transcribing, you will earn between €7,50 and €15,00 per hour.

When do I get paid?
You will be paid at the end of every month for the assignments that you did that month.

How do I get paid?
You can get paid either via a payroll system or on an invoice basis.

How will I be informed of new assignments?
You will be informed of new assignments via email and Slack.

How do I receive an assignment?
You will work on AmberScript’s Transcriber Platform, so you will receive assignments in an online environment.

What is the deadline for an assignment?
Normally you have five working days to hand in the assignment.

Are there mandatory working hours?
No, you can decide for yourself how often and when you work. As soon as you accept an assignment, you are expected to submit the assignment before the deadline expires.

What happens if I don’t meet the deadline?
If the deadline has passed and you have not submitted the order nor contacted us, the assignment will be taken out of your account and you will not be paid for that assignment. If for any reason you wish to return the assignment before the deadline expires, please contact us.
