Can I record calls with the app?
No, you cannot record calls via the app, just live conversations or any pre-recorded audio files that are stored on your phone (like WhatsApp recordings or recordings in a voice recorder app).
How can I add credits to the app?
You can buy credits via the app store for the prepaid plans and pay with your Apple or Android id. To do so, click on the person icon on the bottom right side of your dashboard and then “buy credit”. You will be asked for your AppStore credentials. To buy subscriptions or order manual services, you need to pay via desktop.
Can I use an external microphone?
Yes, you can plug in an external microphone to your mobile phone to conduct interviews or record lectures. This is recommended to increase the quality of the audio and the accuracy of the transcription.
How do I record audio directly from the app?
You can record audio with one tap by clicking on the microphone icon on your dashboard.
Can I record a video from the app?
No, but you can upload pre-recorded video from your phone directly on the app.
Can I export my files via the app?
Yes, you can export your files into JSON, SRT, VTT, EBU-STL, Text, Word formats.
Can I order a manual review of my files from the app?
Yes, you can easily order Amberscript manual services from the app by opening the file and clicking on “Not perfect? Convert now”. After selecting the service type, you will receive an email with instructions for payment via desktop.
Which file formats are compatible?
The following file formats are accepted for uploading: mp3, mp4, wav, m4a, m4v, mov, wma, aac, opus, flac, mpg.
Can I edit my files via the app?
You can rewind, fast forward, play the audio on the app version. At launch you will not be able to edit the transcript, this will be available in a future update. Other edits can be done via desktop
Which operational systems do you support?
Amberscript app is available for iOS on the AppStore and Android on Google Play Store.
If I upload my files via phone, can I access them from my computer?
Yes, as long as you log in from your app or desktop with the same account you will see all your files on the dashboard

Which languages are available?
The interface of the app is only available in English but audio can be transcribed in all the languages available on desktop.
