Where are your language experts located?
Some of our language experts work in house, some remotely. Most of them are in Europe. If you have special (security) requirements, please let us know through our contact form.
Do you offer services in other languages?
We manually transcribe through our network of language experts in 15 different languages, but if you have a request for another language please use our contact form.

Amberscript guarantees 99% accuracy for files that are clearly audible. We accomplish this through hiring the best language experts and extensive quality checks.
Do you provide bulk discounts?

Do you add timestamps?
Yes, timestamps are included in the transcript.
Can I add a glossary with specific words to the transcription job?
Yes, we also offer specialized transcription, which can include jargon or specific vocabulary. To learn more about this or discuss specifics, please contact us.
Will different speakers be distinguished?
Yes, our software indicates different speakers and when the speaker changes.
Do you also offer translations?
Yes, we do. We regularly do projects in many different languages. If you have a request please let us know through our contact form. Translated subtitles can be requested during the upload process.
Do you have a minimum length per file?
No, we do not have a minimum length per file. However, for manual transcription services, we have a minimum order of 20 minutes of transcription, just so we are able to pay our language experts a fair wage. If you are requesting manual transcription for a file with less than 20 minutes, you are still able to do it, but you will be charged for the 20 minutes.
What happens if I’m not satisfied with the quality?
If you are not satisfied with the product of our manual transcription services, you can ask for a revised version within 48 hours after delivery. Please contact us via [email protected] so that we can see to it. It is recommended to indicate/flag at least 3 mistakes in the document so we can correct the document accordingly.
Is it possible to deliver manual transcription in real-time?
No, it is not. For the manual transcription service, we rely on the work of language experts, who will have to read the transcript thoroughly in order to spot and correct any grammar, spelling or punctuation mistakes.
Can the standard delivery time be accelerated?
If you want to place a rush order, you can do so by ticking the rushorder box during the uploading process.
How long does it take until I receive a transcript?
Typically, transcripts corrected by our professional transcribers are delivered in up to 5 working days. You can also place a rush order during the uploading process.
Which languages are supported?
We offer the human-made transcription services in 15 languages. If the language you are interested in is not on this list, please contact us through our contact form. Machine-made transcriptions are available in 39 languages.
Do you provide full verbatim or clean read transcripts?
In the manual transcription service, we provide both transcription types.
What file formats are accepted?
We support the following types files: MP3, MP4, AAC, M4A, M4V, MOV, WMA, OPUS, FLAC, MPG and WAV.

What is the difference between “Clean read” and “Full verbatim”?
In short, “clean” transcription leads to transcripts that are easy to read and do not contain any repetitions or stutters. “Full verbatim” transcription is more comprehensive, as it contains everything that can be heard in the audio/video file. How do you keep my files secure and confidential?
Amberscript’s IT infrastructure is built on the server infrastructure of Amazon Web Services located in Frankfurt, Germany. All data that is processed by Amberscript will be stored and processed on highly secured servers with regular back-ups on the same infrastructure.

Can I adjust the formatting?
From your account, you can export the transcript in different formats. So if you require both a Word file and an SRT file, you can simply export the file twice.
What does the finished transcript look like?
The finished transcript can be downloaded as a text file in one of the following formats, and has the option to include timestamps and speaker indication: JSON, Word, Text, SRT, EBU-STL, VTT.
